Circle of Inevitability: where to start the sequel

Catalog only. The chapter bodies were not read. No quoted lines, no later powers, no claim that an episode equals a chapter.

Search Circle of Inevitability, Lord of the Mysteries 2, or 宿命之环, and the useful question is still smaller than the book. Where do you start. The catalog’s first story is 第一章 外乡人, inside 第一部 梦魇. The slot above that story is a bookmark notice, 欢迎收藏. The newest button is an extra, 番外：科尔杜村日常. A skip list will call the extra “the latest.” A skip list is how you walk into the gift shop of a book you have not opened.

Start at 第一章 外乡人

Open 第一章 外乡人 on Qidian and follow that book’s own order from the front. The Chinese original, 宿命之环, is the book page. On 13 October 2026 the mobile page called it 完本, author 爱潜水的乌贼, a 玄幻 novel with category 异世大陆, last update 2025-09-11 11:59:12, with a stats line of 377.04万 characters. The page description said the book had been updated through 1,195 chapters, and called it the second book in the 诡秘 world. That is the label on the book page. It is not a scene this page read. The rest of that short pitch was left on Qidian.

Qidian’s own first-chapter jump uses the same address, chapter 745977561. The catalog entry above it, under the volume 作品相关, is titled 欢迎收藏. A welcome-to-bookmark line is a nag. It is not the novel.

The next catalog title was 第二章 “恶作剧”. That is a label on a contents page. This note did not open it. A volume name, 第一部 梦魇, sits above the real chapter 1. A volume name is a shelf label. The story starts under it, at 外乡人, the catalog’s word for an outsider.

The count restarts

Later volumes start the numbers over. 第二部 逐光者 opens on another catalog title that also begins 第一章 外乡人, this one chapter 751707389, with a 求月票 plea stuck on the label, dated 2023-04-28. Same two words. A different door, hundreds of entries later. “Just find chapter 1” is how you skip the whole first part. The opening is the 第一章 外乡人 at the front of 第一部. This page did not open the later one.

The same book page’s latest chapter was 番外：科尔杜村日常, timestamped 2025-09-11. An extra is a room added after the story’s own finished marker. The catalog entry before the author’s closing note was 第六十四章 梦（完）, chapter 824198192. Finished marker, author’s note, then an extra. The newest button is the extra. Tap it because you already love the first book, and you have walked in through the gift shop.

377.04万 characters is a warning label, not homework. You are deciding whether a first title that says 外乡人 is your kind of door, on the book the page itself calls the next one after 诡秘之主. You are not signing up to finish a book this page did not read. Qidian already marks it 完本. Finished is a status on the book page. It is not a review.

Who should start here

Try it if you already like the first book and you want the Chinese original of the next one, with the catalog traps named before you tap anything. The Lord of Mysteries opening guide checked chapters 1–2 of 诡秘之主: a man waking inside a name he did not choose. This page did not check any chapter body of the sequel. Same catalog limit as the Sword Comes opening guide, where a later stretch restarts the numbers. Here the restart reuses the title 外乡人. A finished catalog whose newest button is not the story is the Da Feng Night Watchman opening guide, which starts at 第一章 牢狱之灾. A serial catalog with the same limit is the Strange Daoist Immortal opening guide, which starts at 第一章 师傅. The newest button there is 红中传：2. Those pages used the contents list and did not read the chapters.

Leave it if you want a public ranking fight in the first scene, or a newcomer’s first chance at training. Those doors are the Battle Through the Heavens opening guide and the RMJI opening guide. Those pages stay inside chapters they actually checked. This one does not pretend to. The shelf is the Circle of Inevitability reading series.
