What this site is

Margin Notes is an independent reading guide. It publishes original notes in English, Spanish, and Chinese about Chinese web novels, a few published books, and one television series. It is not the author, the publisher, or Qidian, and it is not speaking for them. The site name is the name of the project. These terms do not add a company, a registered address, or another legal name.

Original notes, not the book

The writing here is commentary: what a catalog shows, which opening was checked, and an opinion about that limited stretch. Pages link out to Qidian, publishers, and other public sources so you can read the work where it is licensed. This site does not host novel chapters, translated excerpts of those books, commercial covers, or episode dialogue. A page that has not checked a chapter says so. It is not a review of the whole book.

As-is

The notes are provided as they are. They are not legal advice, a promise that a plot summary is complete, or a claim that anyone read the entire serial. Drafts are written with AI help and then edited. They are not a diary of a personal reading. Dates on a page are the dates printed there.

Ads and cookies

Pages may show third-party ads through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to choose and measure those ads. This site does not control the ads Google serves. How visits, ads, cookies, and the contact form are handled is in the privacy notice.

Copyright notices

If you believe a page on this site uses your work in a way you have not allowed, send a contact form message with the topic “Copyright takedown”. Include the page address, what should be removed or changed, and how to reply to you. The form is the channel for that request. There is no public email address. The request covers material this site itself hosts. It cannot take down a chapter on Qidian or on a publisher’s site. A specific notice about a page here will be read, and material this site hosts will be corrected or removed when the notice identifies it.

Using the site

Read the pages, follow the source links, and use the contact form for a real message. Do not send someone else’s personal data, and do not use the form to dump a book chapter. The form is stored privately for the site owner. It is not a public comment thread.

Changes

These terms can be updated. The date at the top is the version in effect. The page you are reading is the current version. A change to how messages are collected is also described in the privacy notice before that collection is used.
