Way of Choices novel: where to start reading

Catalog only. The chapter bodies were not read. No quoted lines, no free-preview paste, no claim that a leave note in 作品相关, a later volume’s 第一章, or the afterword equals the first door.

Search Way of Choices, Ze Tian Ji, or 择天记, and the useful question is still smaller than 1,248 catalog slots. Where do you start. The Qidian page does not print an English title. English searchers already use Way of Choices and Ze Tian Ji for this book, so Way of Choices is the name on this shelf, and Ze Tian Ji gets one mention. The story shelf’s first title is 序 下山, in 恰同学少年. The rows above that volume are not the door. They sit in 作品相关, thirteen slots, from 我们来唠五块钱吧…… through leave notes, ending on 323请假一天. A leave slip is a calendar. The newest row the page offers is 后记, stamped 4 May 2017.

Start at 序 下山

Open 序 下山 on Qidian and follow that catalog from 恰同学少年, not from 作品相关 and not from the newest button. The Chinese original, 择天记, is the book page. On 14 October 2026 the mobile page called it 完本, author 猫腻, category 玄幻·东方玄幻, last update 2017-05-04, with a stats line of 314.71万 characters. The catalog page listed 1,248 chapters and marked the book finished. The public pitch was not copied here.

The next catalog title was 第一章 我改主意了, listed 2014-05-29 20:18:18. That is a label on a contents page. This note did not open it. Seven catalog titles begin with the characters 第一章. None of them is the first story row. 莫道君行早 restarts at 第一章 纵使相逢应不识. Later volumes keep opening on a row that says 第一章, down to 第七卷 敢叫日月换新天 and 第一章 好人就该杀坏人. If you want the start of this book, it is 序 下山. The numbered 第一章 in the same volume is the second story label. The same writer’s other door, 珠串, is a different book id. That one is the Joy of Life opening guide.

The newest button is an afterword

The same book page’s newest chapter was 后记, chapter 368194913, timestamped 2017-05-04 20:05:00. The title does not say chapter 1. The row before it is 第一百四十一章 神隐之路, chapter 368194088. A notice, 重要通知, chapter 369015156, sits between 第一百四十章 圣光大陆之行 and that last numbered row. A row that says 后记 is a closing note. It is not the first page. 作品相关 keeps the thirteen notices above the story. Those titles were not opened.

314.71万 characters is a warning label, not homework. You are deciding whether a first story title that is 序 下山, on a finished book the page files under 玄幻·东方玄幻, is your kind of door. You are not signing up to finish a book this page did not read. Finished is a status. It is not a review.

Who should start here

Try it if a search for Way of Choices, Ze Tian Ji, 择天记, or 从哪开始看 sent you and you want this Chinese original by 猫腻, you can ignore 作品相关, and you can tell 序 下山 from 第一章 我改主意了 and from 莫道君行早 第一章 纵使相逢应不识. The same author, a different catalog, and a door at 珠串, is the Joy of Life opening guide. A door at 第一章 书生孟浩, with a stray chapter parked in the notes, is the I Shall Seal the Heavens opening guide. Those pages used the contents list and did not read the chapters.

Leave it if you want a newcomer’s first chance at training, checked scene by scene. That door is the RMJI opening guide. That page stays inside what it actually checked. This one does not pretend to have read a chapter. The shelf is the Way of Choices reading series.
