Quick answer

On iPhone: Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → tap the subscription → Cancel Subscription (you may need to scroll). If there's no Cancel button, or you see an expiration message in red, it's already canceled. To avoid renewing a trial, cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
