Key plot points
Gus persuades the cartel that he was not responsible for Lalo’s death, despite Hector’s accusations. As a concession, Don Eladio gives the Salamancas the South Valley drug territory and gives Gus the area north of it. Gus goes to a wine bar and talks with his favorite sommelier, then cuts the outing short and orders the lab construction to resume.
Mike tells Manuel Varga that Nacho is dead and promises justice. Manuel dismisses him and says he is no different from the criminals he works with. At Howard’s memorial, Jimmy and Kim learn that HHM is shrinking and changing its name. Kim lies to Howard’s widow, Cheryl, about the claimed cocaine addiction. The next day she gives up her law license and separates from Jimmy. She tells him she loves him and that they harm each other.
Sometime later Jimmy fully takes up the Saul Goodman life, living in a mansion and driving a Cadillac DeVille. He remodels the office into the style the list says appears in Breaking Bad. This page does not describe that series.
Character development
Kim’s exit is the license and the separation, after the lie to Cheryl. Jimmy’s later life in this entry is the Saul Goodman household and the remodelled office.
Manuel refuses Mike’s promise. Gus’s concession from Eladio is territory, and the lab order follows the shortened visit to the wine bar.
Themes
The map is split: South Valley for the Salamancas, north of it for Gus. The list presents that as Eladio’s concession.
The cocaine story reaches Cheryl at the memorial. The license is what Kim gives up the next day.
What to watch for
Watch Cheryl and the name change at HHM. The list puts both at the memorial.
Watch the Cadillac DeVille and the office. The list names the car and ties the remodelled style to Breaking Bad without retelling it.
Easter eggs and fun observations
The episode title is not defined in the list, so this page does not define it. The office style is the Breaking Bad connection the list states. This page does not add scenes from that series.
Cheryl is Howard’s widow. Manuel Varga is Nacho’s father. The Cadillac DeVille and the mansion are the later details the list names.
Sources checked
Episode titles, numbers, U.S. premiere dates, writers, and directors for seasons 1 through 6 were checked on 2026-10-07 against the English Wikipedia articles for those seasons. The season 1 article lists an official AMC series address. On 2026-10-07 a request to that address returned AMC’s Page Not Found page (HTTP 400), so it is cited as the listed series page, not as a page this guide was able to read.
Two official AMC pages did open. The Central Europe series page states the creators, the regular cast, and a ten-episode debut season. Bob Odenkirk’s cast page on amc.com sits on the Better Call Saul path and identifies him with the series; it does not list season 1 episode credits, and those credits were not taken from it. This guide does not reproduce dialogue, subtitles, or another outlet’s recap.
